García is back in right field and batting seventh following a four-game absence as the Rangers tried to get him away from the field for a mental reset. The 32-year-old power/speed combo outfielder has been mired in one of the worst stretches of his career, when he batted .189 (17-for-90) with three homers and struck out 29 times during the month of May.

García remains stapled to Texas’ bench for the fourth consecutive contest since last Friday as the club attempts to get him back on track with an extended reset. It’ll be rookie on-base machine Alejandro Osuna taking over in right field on Tuesday evening with Evan Carter in center field in his return from the injured list.

García winds up getting the entire weekend off and will sit out his third straight game in the process as the Rangers attempt to give him a break away from the field to reset mentally. The 32-year-old impact fantasy contributor is mired in one of the worst stretches of his career at the dish, hitting .208 (22-for-106) with three homers and one steal over his last 30 games.

García will get some extra time off in an effort to reset mentally after hitting .208 with seven homers and five steals over 56 games to open the season. The 32-year-old slugger figures to be back in right field later this weekend, but it’s possible Rangers manager Bruce Bochy gives him the entire series off to get away from the game.
